Aliwal Dive Centre was one of the very first dive charter operations in Umkomaas, established in 1995. Since then we have built on the solid reputation of Aliwal Dive Centre to earn the respect of the diving community in South Africa, United Kingdom, Europe and beyond. Clients can now be reassured that Aliwal Dive Centre meets a stringent list of safety and insurance criteria who prides themselves on their professionalism. Marine Hotspot – Rocky reef about 5 km off KwaZulu-Natal’s coast, part of a Marine Protected Area.
Rich Sea Life – Coral reefs, tropical fish, rays, turtles, dolphins, whales, and ragged-tooth sharks (best seen July–Nov).
Wreck Diving – Explore SS Nebo (1884) and MV Produce (1974).
Dive Sites – Pinnacles, caves, arches, gullies, and the famous Cathedral site.
Conditions – Depths from 5 m to over 30 m, year-round diving, boat access from Umkomaas.
